Responsible for an efficient & economic project coordination, ensuring that the correct way to lead the projects in agree of Orica mandate and procedures, aligned with regional strategies and CAPEX Plan.
Responsible for delivery projects in full, on time, on budget and in the expected quality, respecting the Company guidelines and ensuring that all Safety, Health and Environment issues are fulfilled and services are done under best possible cost/benefit aspects. Includes mechanical governance and Group Standards and relevant regulatory international and local standards in conjunction with advice and input on  design development and equipment construction for fixed plants and delivery systems used by company in accordance with time and cost constraints.

responsibilities

  • Safety execution & leadership
  • Lead by example to correct SH&E hazards and demand a high SH&E standard from others.
  • Sustaining awareness and providing expert mechanical engineering advice on safety, relevant group standards and statutory regulations (within the mechanical team, wider engineering group and internal customers).
  • Ensuring that all mechanical designs produced comply with their “basis of safety”.
  • Actively participate in design reviews and Hazard Studies for new and existing designs and projects.
  • Mechanical Engineering Support in capital projects and existing plant and assets
  • Regulatory and Statutory compliance of assets delivered by project team – (ASME, API, MPU, AEMSC, AS2187 and local regulation)
  • Implement business improvement under Breakaway methodology (delivering the savings, governance and process)
  • Support the cost centre management, ensuring activities complete by timesheet and properly capital recoveries.
  • Eliminate the engineering gaps on operations and ensure KCV (key control verification) in place by regular audits and leadership interactions
  • Provide project and engineering activities to support the delivery of a reliable and sustainable blasting services.
  • Execute the capital projects in-full, on-time, on-budget and acceptable customer satisfaction level.
  • Support the GQOMS proposals regarding offer the best alternative by engineering and operational perspective.
  •  Direct and support the risk assessment of the capital projects and modifications, thereby reducing significant risk during the design and implementation phases.
  •  Support the implementation of the engineering standards in Orica´s sites and contract through all resources and process available.
  •  Ensure that the Customer Satisfaction Level it´s maintained in our contract to guarantee the customer retention and market share as committed in the region strategic plan.
  •  Ensure that all system data base such as EPM Live and EPDM are up dated and available for the organization.
  • Active participation in the CoP – Community of Practices
  • Ensuring that design requests are documented and supported by concept papers, scope of works and design reviews where appropriate.
  • Maximise the utilisation of existing designs ensuring standardisation of components and design concepts for fixed plant and mobile equipment – use of company Catalogue
  •  Sharing technical and business knowledge throughout the regional engineering group.
  • Support relationships with internal business units and external service providers for timely delivery of cost effective mechanical design solutions.
  • Evaluate protection systems to enable compliance with the Group's safety objectives.
  •  Prepare in time and quality fashion project management report and maintain updated the EPM Live
